A Brilliant Liberal Arts Education

Welcome to the School of Arts & Sciences at Carolina University. Our vibrant intellectual community will provide you with a brilliant liberal arts education that will challenge your minds and equip you with the tools for advanced studies or an array of professional careers.

We offer a growing catalog of degree programs that are united by a common thread: 21st century disciplinary knowledge and competencies built upon state of the art research about employment trends and workplace needs. Unlike other colleges with legacy programs, as a new school, we have the luxury of designing a curriculum based on actual employer demands. So, we built programs in partnership with potential employers and taking note of labor market projections about the jobs of the future. For instance, our new BA in Criminal Justice was designed from inception in partnership with the Sheriff of Forsyth Co., and equips graduates with skills necessary for the 21st century criminal justice environment.

Our teaching is student-centric and designed to develop the whole person. This means that you will learn in an intellectually robust but caring environment where you are not just a number but a real person. Our academics and staff will nurture your academic development whilst ensuring that you are well prepared for life after graduation.

The school's programs are taught in the dynamic city of Winston-Salem, in close proximity to the innovation quarter, and online. Students benefit from flexible delivery modes, experiential learning opportunities through internships and placements, and a variety of co-curricular activities.

Our approach to learning is also necessarily global: as an international university, we attract students and faculty from all parts of the world, engage in knowledge pursuit without geographic boundaries, and prepare graduates for global careers. Therefore, students will have the opportunity to pursue study abroad and other international learning avenues as a key part of all degree programs.

Finally, whether you are fresh out of high school or an adult learner, our affordable but high-quality degrees offer a massive competitive advantage.

We hope you will join our community to learn, develop new knowledge, and influence the future.
